North Country Resilience takes action in whatever way the moment calls for — from bridge banners visible to thousands of passing cars, to rallies aligned with national movements, to letters that land on our politician's desks, to conversations with people in the community. Every action matters. Every person who shows up makes us stronger.

Visibility Brigades

Visibility Brigade is a nation-wide grassroots movement where small groups of volunteers gather weekly on bridges and overpasses during rush hour, holding simple signs to make dissent visible to commuters.

Visibility Brigade encourages passersbys to notice, care, and support pro-democracy movements.

Letters, Calls and Direct Advocacy

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is put your name on a piece of paper and send it to the people who represent you.

We organize letter writing campaigns and phone call actions targeting hot button issues — from voting rights to healthcare to civil liberties. We make it easy: we provide the talking points, the contact information, and the community support.

Signs of Fascism

We call out government misbehavior. We don't live in a fascist state yet. But the indicators are hard to miss--unless you look the other way.

To keep American democracy, we highlight the danger.

Signs of Democracy

Where neighbors carry signs — not naming what's broken, but picturing what's whole. Free and fair elections. A press that can report without fear. Courts that answer to the law, not to power. Neighbors who look out for neighbors.

Community events provide opportunities to reach new audiences and interact directly with the public.

Parades

Who doesn't love a parade? Marching with a spirit of unity and joy is a great way to let the community know we're there with them.

Community Service

A better community requires more than just protesting. In this picture, we helped collect food when Food Stamps were temporarily halted in November 2025.

Voter Outreach

Through Visibility, tabling, and other communications, we encourage everyone to participate in democracy by voting. We dedicated several initiatives to registering voters. Both new voters and voters who've moved face new requirements this year.
